This 8 1/2 month old perfect puppy found himself in rescue by no fault of his own! Unfortunately his previous owner's health declined to the point that she was no longer able to give Oliver the care and time that he deserves so she put his needs ahead of her own heart and entrusted his care to ECFBR.

Oliver came to rescue with a cherry eye so when we had him neutered we also had his cherry eye corrected. Unfortunately the first surgery didn't hold and he had to go back under the knife for a second, more invasive surgery. It has been 4 weeks and it seems to be holding just fine! He also developed an eye ulcer after the second surgery but yesterday the vet said she sees no sign of the ulcer! Wonderful news!

This handsome little guy is full of beans! He LOVES everyone that he meets! He adores other dogs and would probably enjoy a furry companion at home to play and cuddle with! He has not been tested with cats but a dog savvy cat should be no issue as he literally has the sweetest disposition! Oliver would probably love a home with kids to play with but he is a little too rambunctious for small children. Though he does love to cuddle with his person at the end of the day he is no couch potato so if you're looking for a calm and relaxed dog this is not your guy! He is super gentle but very energetic!

We are looking for a family who will be engaged with Oliver and his training. He is extremely smart and learns very quickly. Training classes are a must for this little guy! He is house trained, crate trained and knows several basic commands but he needs work on his leash training, manners when greeting people and definitely needs work to stop picking absolutely everything he sees up on his walks. You must be vigilant and patient in teaching him to not put everything in his mouth!

We do allow out of town/province adoptions (with-in Eastern Canada and some eastern US states) as long as you are able to pick the dog up. We do not ship dogs.

There is a $10 non-refundable application fee. This fee is considered a donation and helps offset the costs associated with caring for the dogs in our care. However, if you have applied to adopt from us in the last 12 months there is no need to reapply or pay another application fee as long as your circumstances haven't changed. IF YOU HAVE APPLIED IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS you can send us an email stating the name of the dog you previously applied for and tell us in your email why you think Oliver is a good fit for your family.
