Spike, (formerly known as Ike) was probably one of the most difficult cases of dog aggressive dogs we have ever taken on. We usually refer these cases elsewhere as we just don't have the resources to handle them. When we were contacted regarding Spike we knew we had to at least try to help this traumatized little guy! Spike had been attacked when neighbour’s big dogs BROKE through the patio door when no one was home to viciously attack Spike in his own home! Not ONCE but TWICE!!! This little man was so traumatized by the time he arrived in our care that we really didn't know if we could help him! Sometimes though, every thing just falls into place! Craig, Spikes forever dad, stepped forward and was willing to try everything to help Spike, including working relentlessly with our wonderful volunteer and dog trainer
. That was in 2017, we are happy to report that after a bumpy start, not only is Spike doing great, he is now the friendliest dog in the neighborhood! We couldn't be more proud! Keep up the good work Spike and Dad!
