BETTY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!
This incredibly cute 16 pound potato pretty much has the perfect Frenchie personality! She has just enough sass to keep you laughing and enough love to fill your heart! That is why we will be looking for her perfect match! She deserves to be the center of your universe!
Betty Boop found herself in rescue by absolutely no fault of her own. Unfortunate circumstances forced her loving family to put their own emotions aside and do what was in Betty's best interest so that she can get the best medical care possible!
Health wise Betty does have allergies that are well controlled with a cytopoint injection every 6 to 8 weeks (cost is approximately $80 a shot depending on where you live) and weekly baths as well as wiping her paws and underarms when she comes in from outside and making sure her wrinkles are always dry and clean. She is currently on a freeze dried fish diet and a daily joint support supplement. She has a scarred eye from eye surgery she had as a puppy, bow legs, a luxating patella and hemivertebrae. All of that combined with a previous back injury means her new family will have to be careful that she doesn’t jump on and off furniture or race up and down stairs. She is spayed, microchipped and UTD on vaccines.
Betty Boop is sweet, friendly and well socialized. She loves everyone she meets and is very affectionate! She is great with kids, dogs and cats! Her potty training still needs work! She needs a strict potty schedule because if she goes to the door and you don’t see her (she doesn’t make any noise), she will relieve herself in the house.
Betty seems to be more comfortable with smaller dogs than she is with large dogs. While she does seem to get along well with dogs, she is a little piggy and we have seen her guarding the treat bag! When another dog gets too close to it she will tell them off!

Currently being fostered in the Ottawa-Gatineau region
This is what her foster mom has to say about her:
Betty is the sweetest little piglet! She's extra small but her personality makes up for it. She loves balls, will swipe any food you drop as quick as a flash and she's so quiet around the house that we have a bell on her collar so she doesn't accidentally get stepped on when she stealthily sneaks up behind us! She loves a good sun spot, car rides, cuddling and she will try to lick you to death!
We do allow out of town/province adoptions (with-in Eastern Canada and some eastern US states) as long as you are able to pick the dog up. We do not ship dogs.
There is a $10 non-refundable application fee. This fee is considered a donation and helps offset the costs associated with caring for the dogs in our care. However, if you have applied to adopt from us in the last 12 months there is no need to reapply or pay another application fee as long as your circumstances haven't changed. IF YOU HAVE APPLIED IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS you can send us an email stating the name of the dog you previously applied for and tell us in your email why you think that Betty Boop is a good fit for your family. Please email ecfbradopters@gmail.com ONLY if you recently applied for another dog and want to apply for Betty.
