ED
ADOPTED!

Wally had his vet check and got a clean bill of health! This energetic sweetheart just turned 7 years old! He is a big boy at 33 lbs!

Wally found himself in rescue through no fault of his own! A change in his family’s living situation meant Wally needed a soft place to land. He is sweet with people, kids, cats and
dogs but does not like other dogs around when he is eating!

Foster mom says he’s a smart lad and has been catching on to some basic commands. He knows sit, kisses, out, enough, go pee and poopies, time for bed, into the house! He is learning lay down and off and he definitely understands time for breakfast/supper! His new family will have to commit to continuing Wally's training as he loves to learn!

We know that he is not a fan of visiting the vet or having his nails trimmed! So much so that his medical file clearly states that he needs heavy sedation, especially for nail trims. Foster mom is extremely dedicated and very patient and has engaged the help of her favourite professional groomers to help desensitize Wally and help him build a positive association. We encourage his new family to continue this positive reinforcement. Time will tell if it helps but his potential new family will have to keep in mind that it is possible he will always be a challenge during those activities.

This is what foster mom had to say about him: "he is an amazingly loving, smart, expressive, talkative, playful, young at heart beautiful french bulldog. I already love him to bits and if I didn't already have 3 dogs I would be applying to adopt him!"

Wally would be fine as an only dog or with another playful dog in the family. Wally LOVES to play with his breathable ball and frisbee and although he will release the ball - the frisbee not so much...

Wally attaches to people very quickly so be prepared for a very affectionate lap dog!
