This lovable 1 year old guy is just perfect! Timmy Timbit was abandoned at a shelter when he was 7 months old. We don't know why because he is quite the adorable character! He is playful, sweet and goofy! Loves everyone he meets, including other dogs! Everyone who meets him falls in love with him!
He is deaf and missing an eye but that doesn’t slow him down even a little! He now knocks on the patio door when he wants to go out and he understands a bunch of hand signs! Smart little tater tot!
He loves food and treats, but he is still working on being gentle. Timbit will get upset if anyone tries to take his food and therefore is not suitable for a home with small children.
Timbit can be left alone for up to 4 to 5 hours at a time but would prefer a home where someone is home more often than not as he is a velcro pup and loves to be with his people.
Timbit loves to hide in strange tight places, under clothes, in a laundry basket or in corners. We suspect he feels secure when he's snug. He loves to sleep and rest in his crate, but will also sleep anywhere. Timbit is crate trained. He sleeps well all night in his crate but if there is a change in his routine or environment it takes a few days for him to settle back down. A night light near his crate is recommended as he can be skittish if he sees shadows in the dark. Routine is very comforting to this little guy.
He doesn't like going for car rides but he is getting better with it since he has started to travel back and forth to his foster family's cottage.
He is kind of housetrained now, in as much as he will go to the door and knock with his nose when he needs out, but he must be let out quickly or he will just go in front of the door!
He still needs work on his leash skills. He LOVES to go for walks but will pull sometimes. Not always but sometimes.
He is such a special little guy who is so affectionate and loving and we are looking for an equally as special family for him!

We do allow out of town/province adoptions (within Eastern Canada and some eastern US states) as long as you are able to pick the dog up. We do not ship dogs. Currently being fostered near Ottawa, Ontario.
Please note that the above criteria is carefully considered and submitted by the people who know the dog the best, the foster family. This criteria is not negotiable. Only apply if you meet ALL the criteria.
The adoption application is you introducing yourself and while we don't expect you to write a novel, applications with one word answers to every question don't give us much to go on. Thank you.
