Kevin has made extraordinary progress while he has been with his foster mom for the last 2 1/2 months! Which is why we are beyond thrilled to say that Kevin has been adopted by his foster! Congratulations to Kevin and his forever family!

Kevin had his consult with behavioural medicine and they confirmed what we suspected, he’s been through a lot and as a result, has plenty of fears and anxiety. The good news is he’s made incredible progress in his foster home and with the addition of some medication to help with his anxiety and some at home training, the specialist expects Kevin to continue to thrive! His foster mom is doing everything possible to help Kevin overcome his terrible past and help him to feel safe.
We’ve discovered that he loves kids, is afraid of cats, but will try to follow them as they walk away. He’s unsure but curious about horses. Kevin hasn’t shown any signs of aggression but does bark to get people’s attention for snuggles and scratches. He is nervous around new people, loud noises and sometimes random new things. He walks great on a leash and loves to snuggle. He especially loved grandpa snuggles at a recent visit as you can see in the photo. This little man just turned 3 years old and has not had an easy start in life but only good things are in store for him now! Kevin is so sweet and LOVES to be with his people. He will need a home where someone is around most of the time or can bring him to work with them.
