adorable 20 month old Lulu is living her best life with her new family!
This cuddle bug LOVES people. She also loves other dogs, car rides, napping in the sunshine (she has to be monitored as she won't move even when overheating!) and keeping watch over the neighborhood perched on the window seat.
What she doesn't love is being left alone for long periods of time so we will be looking for a home where someone is home more often than not (post pandemic too). She also doesn't love cats so a home without felines is a must.
Here's what her wonderful foster mom has to say about her:
"LuLu is a little girl who is full of love, spunk and ready for adventure! She is all about giving and getting love and attention. She is the epitome of a 'love bug'. She loves giving kisses and hugs. Lulu seems to be the happiest when she is cuddling or just being touched. She also loves stealing my seat on the couch and hogging my heating pad. I entice her to move with either a belly rub or food. She will do a LOT for food! She is very smart, learns quickly and is always ready for her food reward (which is really just her kibble). Despite her being a little stubborn at times, food always wins the day!
Lulu finds a vacuum cleaner interesting. No fear at all! She also no longer stresses out over having an ear cleaning, nails clipped or face folds cleaned!
She is a good girl! Sweet too! One night I was a little down and shed a few tears and she came and crawled up on my chest and licked my chin....and snuggled close, even tried very hard to push closer into me. My dogs don't even do that .. lol .. .so I was a little surprised at how tender and sweet she was...and is"

Health concerns: Allergies. Lulu receives a Cytopoint injection every 6 to 8 weeks and it has helped her enormously. Cost is between $85 - $100 per injection depending on where you live.

We do allow out of town/province adoptions (with-in Eastern Canada and some eastern US states) as long as you are able to pick the dog up. We do not ship dogs.
There is a $10 non-refundable application fee. This fee is considered a donation and helps offset the costs associated with caring for the dogs in our care. However, if you have applied to adopt from us in the last 12 months there is no need to reapply or pay another application fee as long as your circumstances haven't changed. IF YOU HAVE APPLIED IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS you can send us an email stating the name of the dog you previously applied for and tell us in your email why you think Lulu is a good fit for your family. Please email ecfbrescue@gmail.com ONLY if you recently applied for another dog and want to apply for Lulu.
