UPDATE February 2023, Foster family couldn't imagine life without this sweet girl and they have adopted her! 

Sweet Bea is ready for her forever home!

Beatrice has absolutely thrived in her foster home! She was not happy in a house with other pets and would show signs of anxiety and would constantly ‘bicker’ with the other dogs. Now she is a sweet, affectionate and well behaved little love-bug!

This adorable dumpling is 2 years old. She is healthy but she does have a bit of a wobbly back end. She’s had an odd gate since she was a puppy. With no degeneration or change, multiple vets suspect it's a congenital issue that is not causing her any pain or slowing her down! As a precaution Bea should not be allowed to jump on and off of furniture. Teaching her to wait to be lifted on and off of furniture or how to use furniture steps is important for her forever family to understand.

19 lbs Bea is house trained, leash trained, crate trained, up to date on vaccines and spayed. She is currently on a raw diet. 

Bea is fine with dogs that she meets when she is out and about but due to past behaviour, when she lived with other dogs, we are looking for a home where she will be the only dog. We have not tested her with cats, we will later this week, but her previous family had said she is not great with them so we are looking for a pet-free home for this snuggle butt.

Beatrice LOVES people and always wants to be near her peeps. While she can be left alone, she would prefer not to be so if you work from home most of the time or are retired, that would make this princess very happy! 

We do allow out of town/province adoptions (within Eastern Canada and some eastern US states) as long as you are able to pick the dog up. We do not ship dogs. Currently being fostered in Belleville, Ontario.

Please note that the above criteria is carefully considered and submitted by the people who know the dog the best, her foster family. This criteria is not negotiable. Only apply if you meet ALL the criteria.

The adoption application is you introducing yourself and while we don't expect you to write a novel, applications with one word answers to every question don't give us anything to go on and usually aren't considered. Thank you.

If you applied within the last 12 months to adopt a dog from us you don't need to reapply but you do need to send us an email explaining why you think Bea is a good fit for your family.
